When you think of this word passion, what is the first thought that comes to mind?
Does your passion toward a specific topic or noun immediately come up? Or do you actually have to think about what you are passionate about? Do you find yourself constantly thinking if you’re really passionate about something or do you find yourself questioning the true meaning behind it?

First, let’s focus on the word of the day and its meaning.

Passion can be defined as any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling.

Simple enough, right? Well, like we all say, it’s easier said than done.

Sometimes it’s actually difficult to stick with your passion or even initially commit to it. Why is this? Well, many factors really, but the biggest factor here are priorities.

Take my situation for example : My passion is art. I can make art but I need the financial resources to do so first, and in order to do so, I would need to spend time elsewhere to make the money. It’s this vicious time vs. money management that not only am I going through, but others as well.

So the main question here is if that make you less passionate about something if you choose your priorities over passion?

No, it’s just sometimes it just becomes difficult to even be passionate about something when we get so caught up with what we see is a priority.

Some prioritize their passion, and some don’t. But that’s completely okay, because as long as they are satisfied doing what they are doing, it will sustain the quality of their life regardless.

Oftentimes, I find myself straying from what I am passionate about because I, too, get caught up in recent events that I can’t seem to remember what it was that made me feel alive. But when I am reminded of it, I feel the passion.

Just the other day, I picked up graphic designing again and, oh, did I miss the feeling. From that very moment of working on art, I immediately felt my creativity flow and I was instantly reminded that art is seriously my passion.

But, why is it so easy to stray and forget and not focus on your passion?
This should not initially mean that you are losing your interest or passion for it.

And in all honesty, I don’t think I can even continue this topic without going back and forth about it. Simply because I am so conflicted with the simplicity of the concept of “passion”, yet it isn’t as satisfying if you cannot even pursue it the way we want to. Only because, for the most part, our passion may not coincide with what could help us with our basic necessities.

In conclusion, passion is only as simple as knowing what you are passionate about, but not as satisfying if you cannot express it.

Well, enough said.
